The FOURTHWEAR. Because you are worth it!

“Postpartum is a quest back to yourself, alone in your body again. You will never be the same. You are stronger than you were.”

The FOURTHWEAR. Because you are worth it!

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. Yet so many mothers don’t receive the depth of care they need and deserve in those first weeks and months after giving birth.

We started Nyssa as longtime friends who were shocked by the lack of postpartum care available to us after we gave birth for the first time in 2017. Despite preparing diligently for delivery, we– like so many others– simply had no idea what to expect when it came to our physical recovery. We wished we could go to our local store and pick up items to help us heal during our Fourth Trimester– but there was nothing available, anywhere.

As we talked about our frustrations, newborns strapped to our chests, we decided that we had to create the change we wanted to see in the world. It started with us sketching out ideas for what eventually became our FourthWear Postpartum Recovery Underwear. This double-patented design is the first therapeutic apparel item to enable the wearer to insert ice and heat packs directly into the underwear to help with healing after a vaginal or c-section delivery.

Since then we’ve expanded our line to help mothers everywhere have a more comfortable and cared-for postpartum experience.

POSTPARTUM UNMENTIONABLES SURVIVAL GUIDE

Postpartum Unmentionables Survival Guide

It’s everything about this transformational time that we wish we had known. For most, postpartum isn’t a breeze. There are leaks, bleeding, pain, and emotional upheaval, coupled with the emergence of many new ferocious instincts. It’s common to find this time immensely challenging. We believe having insight into the realities of the lesser-talked about aspects of postpartum can be a huge help towards preparing to care for yourself and your new baby.
